Journeyman Plumber

The work of our Journeyman Plumbers primarily is new-construction install of a wide variety of plumbing systems. We do commercial & industrial projects including schools, multi-family, hotels, police and fire stations, food processing facilities, large distribution warehouses, etc. We do work in the private, public, and federal sectors!

Job Description:

1. Read blueprints and other technical documents to asses building needs and pipe/plumbing fixture plans
2. Work with contractors to assess client needs and plan plumbing layout
3. Install, assemble, maintain, and repair pipes and plumbing fixtures
4. Affix clamps, screws, brazing, soldering, welds, etc. to pipes and tubes
5. Measure and modify pipes accordingly by cutting, threading, or bending pipes by using specialized tools
6. Install appliances like boilers, water heaters, toilets, sinks, etc
7. Diagnose plumbing problems and work to resolve any issues
8. Repair or replace damaged parts
9. Locate and repair water line leaks
10. Train new apprentices in proper plumbing techniques and practices
11. Confirm pipe system is air/watertight by performing pressure tests
12. Keep detailed notes and create work reports documenting projects
13. Test plumbing and other installed fixtures to ensure proper functioning
14. Follow state laws and regulations and adhere to local building codes

The Work:

Work located in the Tri-Cities and surrounding area

The projects are new construction with approximately 50% of our work prevailing wages

We perform a wide range of interesting and challenging work that includes standard plumbing, hydronic systems and mechanical equipment

Qualifications:

1. If you have a stable job history, have a commercial Washington and/or Oregon Journeyman card, have experience in the industry, we would like to talk to you about starting a long-term career.

4. If you are licensed in both Washington and Oregon that is a plus, with a higher wage offered!
