Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse Neuro ICU and Surgical ICU Location unspecified. This position involves providing specialized critical care for stroke, neuro, surgical, and medical patients within a 30-bed ICU, with an emphasis on bedside procedures, ventilator management, and hemodynamic monitoring. The role requires collaboration with a comprehensive stroke center and adheres to a rotating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Two (2) years of ICU experience, certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and relevant education requirements. Must have experience in assisting bedside procedures such as intubation, central line placement, arterial line placement, chest tube insertion, thoracentesis, TEEs, and cardioversions. Candidates must possess skills in managing patients on ventilators, Bipap/AVAPS, and vasoactive medications. Experience with general surgical procedures, stroke/neuro procedures, cath lab interventions, and managing sepsis, GI bleed, COPD, CHF, and DKA patients is required.
• Schedule: Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, working 36 hours per week, including every other weekend and holiday.
• Preferred Qualifications: Open heart experience (CABG, valve surgeries, AAA), comprehensive stroke procedures (EVD, thrombectomy, TNK), management of assist devices (IABP, Impella, Prisma CRRT), prone positioning, and initiation and maintenance of paralytics with TOF/BIS monitoring.
• Additional Information: Candidate must be able to interpret invasive hemodynamic values such as CO, CI, SVV, CVP, and SvO2 and be comfortable with managing complex ICU cases.
