Overview Local Editor (Austin) needed for experimental short documentary. Proficient in sound & picture, Vimeo uploads, and basic web development. This is a part‑time, temporary editing gig with potential for future projects. Responsibilities Take over a previous project with a 22‑minute cut awaiting a 2027 festival submission. Cleanly mix sound, working with licensed, composed, or public‑domain music. Add and remove scenes as needed. Create a 1–2 minute trailer. Upload edits and final cuts to Vimeo with appropriate notes. Develop a basic website for the film. Collaborate with the director on editing decisions. Work approximately 4hours daily on‑site at the filmmaker’s home, with optional home‑based work. Complete the project before the midterm elections. Requirements Proficiency in sound editing and picture editing. Experience uploading and managing projects on Vimeo. Basic web development skills. Experience in experimental documentary style, particularly short‑form content. Benefits Decent pay for a low‑budget short film with the possibility of future gigs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
