About the Position

As a Liquor Team Member, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensuring the liquor department is always fully stocked and visually appealing. You will assist with guest service, maintain inventory levels, and support your team in delivering an exceptional shopping experience. This role requires a passion for guest service, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

• Guest service and product expertise are of the utmost importance in differentiating our store. Developing guest loyalty will ensure repeat business.
• Ensure shelves are stocked, rotated, blocked-faced properly to maintain a clean and organized department that meets The Fresh Market's standards.
• Assist with inventory checks, stock counts, and ordering to ensure product availability.
• Help create attractive displays and maintain promotional setups to enhance the guest experience and drive sales.
• Support register operations, including processing guest transactions accurately and verifying age for alcohol purchases.
• Promote and effectively sell beer, wine and spirits. Assist with identifying and implementing marketing techniques to drive sales.
• Participate in weekly team meetings. Continued education across beer, wine and spirits is encouraged.
• Verify delivered items and pricing accuracy during receiving times. Maintain an organized backroom and address any damaged products.
• Follow all safety and compliance guidelines related to the handling and sale of alcoholic beverages.

Availability

This position requires the willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.

Qualifications

Certifications:

• Must obtain and maintain any relevant certifications related to the sale of alcohol within 90 days of hire.

At a minimum, what you'll need:

• A passion for providing extraordinary guest service.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and willing to complete age verification training.

Physical and Work Conditions

• Repetitive hand/arm movements, grasping, bending, reaching, ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds by oneself, exposure to extreme temperatures
• Ability to use tools equipment: knives, ladders, stepstools, box cutters, pallet jacks, and other equipment
• Required to spend long periods of time on feet and stand or walk without a break (for up to 4 hours or as required by law)
• Required to wear approved hat, hair net, and/or beard guard, and personal protective equipment
