Deli Lead (Full Time) Location: Not Store Specific Department: Deli DELI LEAD - NOT STORE SPECIFIC REGULAR FULL TIME - $22.50-26.00/HR SHIFTS: COMPLETE OPEN AVAILABILITY - WEEKENDS REQUIRED POSITION SUMMARY As Deli Lead, you focus on supporting the Deli Manager with the daily operations and profitability of the Deli Department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide excellent customer service, address the needs of customers, and answer their questions in a timely and effective manner. Demonstrate a basic understanding of the financial needs of the Deli Department. Supervision, delegation of tasks, and development of the Deli Team in the absence of the Deli Manager and Assistant Deli Manager. Ensure daily tasks are completed accurately and timely. (e.g. waste logs, time and temperature logs, prep list, etc.) Place vendor orders and intercompany transfer orders to maintain appropriate levels of back stock. Prepare products according to the Companys specifications and recipes. Package, weigh, label, and price products for full and self-service cases, using the Cry-O-Vac (ROP) when appropriate. Preparation of catering orders. Accountable for inventory on the floor. (e.g. merchandising, facing products, pulling inventory, rotating perishable items, proper and accurate signage, product placement, etc.) Maintain display cases to ensure product quality, cleanliness, and accuracy of signs and pricing.
