Postings without City, State are virtual positions. ENERGY SYSTEMS GROUP ® is looking for a Senior Performance Engineer to join our Public Sector East team in Florida. Frequent travel (approximately 20%-40%), including overnight stays is required. The Senior Performance Engineer is an engineer that has exhibited outstanding performance in both project development, and the advancement of ESG ideals, thus designated as someone to emulate. A Senior Performance Engineer has all the same responsibilities as a Performance Engineer, with the additional responsibility to mentor other engineers as well as spearheading as the lead for technical assessment and viability of new technologies. As warranted, the Senior Performance Engineer is expected to have a holistic, programmatic and strategic approach to various vertical markets or clients, and serve as the subject matter expert for applicable elements. The Senior Performance Engineer is the primary technical project developer with in an ESG region. As the primary resource for technical expertise, Account Executives and Regional management count on Senior Performance Engineers to be responsible for understanding the technical needs and wants of a customer, then turning that information into accurate concrete solutions. Senior Performance Engineers may deal with technical issues that include but not limited to facility utility-consumption analysis and reduction strategies, general capital improvements, and even large-scale community infrastructure projects. The Senior Performance Engineer is responsible for the technical strategies, the costing of projects, forecasting energy reduction for a given solution if applicable, creating a plan to measure and verify the energy reductions forecasted, presentation of findings and solutions to customers and mangers, and to assist the delivery team to ensure smooth installations and achieve exceptional results for the customer, including assessing key risk elements such as constructability, scope, costs and guarantee. The essential functions of the position include: Conducts in depth site surveys to identify mechanical and operating inefficiencies within a facility; analyzes utility bills; analyzes financials; meets with contractors and provides technical solutions that are creative, economical, and technically sound Facilitate adequate communication among the internal team, sub-contractors, and customers by creating technical plans both written and schematic to convey solutions and risk Performs energy savings, calculations, operational savings calculations, life cycle cost analysis and feasibility analysis of recommendations and associated risks; provides an energy analysis and establishes guaranteed savings based on the measures proposed Creates financial models based on the parameters given by the customer and the results of the projects being developed Coordinates with Account Executive and Project Manager to develop and present proposals to customers Coordinates with Project Manager to ensure smooth installation and acts as communication link for technical information between the operations team and the sales team Identifies and works with subcontractors and consultants to provide technical analysis and descriptions for project installation and to ensure the quality of work delivered exceeds the requirements of the job Approves equipment before it is ordered to ensure accurate estimates and on time delivery Keeps abreast of current technologies by reading magazine articles, attending seminars and conferences and developing relationships with contractors and suppliers who are creative and provide technical excellence Keeps abreast of Regional legislation, which impacts the process by which projects may be developed Evaluate risk associated with technical feasibility, constructability, scope, costs, and guarantee Maintains full technical understanding of energy and plant/facility operations and serves as the ongoing technical resource consultant for the customer Your background includes: Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited or equivalent Engineering program 10 years’ engineering experience A bonus to have: At least ten (10) year’s engineering experience in construction or related industry Professional Engineering license and at least one (1) certification from the following field: CEM CMVP Any LEED Certification NEBB TAB Any ASHRAE Certification What we bring to you: Professional growth and development programs including tuition reimbursement Comprehensive health, dental, vision insurance plans and wellness plans for employee and your family Life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, and supplemental benefits 401(k) Savings Plan Nine Paid Holidays with three floater holidays Paid Vacation and Personal/Sick Leave Paid Parental Leave for the birth, adoption, or placement of a child/children Highly competitive salaries and incentive structure We want you to know: ESG is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
