Senior Financial Analyst, AWS Data Center Real Estate

Description Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to lead Real Estate finance initiatives for the Data Center Real Estate finance team. This high-visibility role offers the opportunity to directly influence the financial strategy for AWS's global data center expansion. This role will partner with senior leadership to drive month end close and planning activities, analyze real estate deal opportunities, and leverage financial analysis to make strategic decisions. Basic Qualifications 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience Preferred Qualifications 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience MBA, or CPA Knowledge of Tableau Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
