Overview City/State: Norfolk, VAWork Shift: Swing Shift (9A-9P, 2 days a week, Monday‑Friday)Sentara Heart Hospital is seeking a Cardiac Tech to support RN staff in catheterization, electrophysiology, and cardiac operating room procedures. The role involves pre‑procedural preparation, post‑procedural recovery, and patient transportation for 40‑60 patients per day. Responsibilities Assist with prep and recovery of cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology patients. Hook patients to monitors, clean and reposition beds, and obtain EKGs or specimens as ordered. Remove arterial and venous sheaths from femoral, radial, and brachial sites. Support patients on bedrest with meals, toileting, and other care requests. Transport patients to inpatient rooms and aid in discharge processes. Maintain a sterile, organized recovery environment and troubleshoot equipment issues. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Experience as a patient‑care technician, cardiac tech, or similar healthcare role preferred. Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and stand for extended periods.
