Job Description

The Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating healthcare services for patients undergoing surgical procedures in the cardiovascular operating room. The RN will ensure adherence to sterile procedures, maintain necessary equipment, and provide quality control to ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for cardiovascular patients.
• Ensure sterile procedures are followed during surgeries.
• Prepare necessary equipment and medications for the operating room team.
• Record progress and outcomes of surgical procedures.
• Handle specimens according to facility protocols.
• Provide lunch relief in various service lines as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of current experience in an acute CVOR setting.
• Experience in minimally invasive cardiac procedures preferred.
