Perinatal Sonographer Senior (CASUAL)

Nemours is seeking a Senior Perinatal Sonographer (CASUAL), FULL‑TIME, to join our team in Orlando, Florida. The Senior Perinatal Sonographer will provide high quality ultrasound for interpretation and diagnosis by a maternal fetal medicine physician. To act as a mentor and resource for medical students, residents, fellows and sonographers in performing high quality fetal ultrasound scan /fetal echocardiograms as well as assisting them in developing other clinical and administrative skills necessary to their roles. Actively participate in Performance Improvement Projects. Job Duties Operate all equipment to perform diagnostic echocardiograms using correct parameters based on patient age and diagnosis, including 2D, 3D, Doppler and color Doppler. Demonstrate proficient skills in at least one additional advanced form of imaging; this may include 3D imaging and rendering. Efficiently perform pre‑work by researching relevant prior studies and communicate effectively with ordering or interpreting physicians to define study goals. Measure all M‑mode, 2D, 3D, Doppler, and color Doppler flow patterns, calculate measurements and enter them into patient reports using AS software. Analyze images and correctly annotate them in PACS system. Act as a mentor and resource for students, sonographers and fellows in clinical situations. Assist in administrative duties within the department as requested, including scheduling, research and quality performance, data acquisition and clinical demonstrations. Participate in research studies as requested. Maintain consistent proficiency in competencies for this position. Assist Manager with EPIC, Radiant workflow and PACS system or other relevant EMR system in partner hospital systems. Arrive on shift prior to shift begin time, ready and able to work. Demonstrate professional conduct at all times in behavior and appearance. Travel to satellite locations as needed. Serve as a liaison between Manager and perinatal sonographers as requested by Manager. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Associate's Degree required. Minimum three (3) years of experience required. ARDMS and Fetal Echo certifications required. American Heart Association BLS Certification required.
