Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality emergency care in a busy hospital ED. The RN will support patient care across various units, including behavioral health and urgent care, ensuring compliance with clinical standards and safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Support two lock security units within the ED, assisting with behavioral health needs and patient management.
• Float between units as needed to meet facility patient care demands.
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and interventions accurately in the Cerner system.
• Comply with hospital and department policies, including shift coverage and credential requirements.
• Support the hospital's stroke program, including preparation for stroke CEs and stroke care protocols.

Qualifications:

• Require at least 3 years of recent emergency department experience; 2 years in Level I or Level II trauma preferred.
• Hold a Maryland or compact RN license upon submission.
• Possess current ACLS, BLS, NIH, and PALS certifications.
• Certification in CEN is preferred; valid references are required.
• Able to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) on a 3x12 schedule.
• Demonstrate experience with Cerner, FirstNet, and Launch charting systems.
