We support all AWS data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to ensure our customers have continual access to the cloud services they rely on. We work on complex problems involving thousands of variables and are seeking talented individuals to join us. You will be part of a diverse team including software, hardware, network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. Your role will involve maintaining safety and security standards, providing high capacity at low costs, and owning your projects in an inclusive culture that values innovation and bold ideas. We are looking for Data Center Technicians to help ensure the availability and reliability of our data center operations, involving hardware and network diagnostics, physical repairs, and participation in an on-call rotation. Effective May 15, 2017, access to the AWS GovCloud region is restricted to U.S. Citizens and cannot be accessed outside the United States. Key job responsibilities Lifting and moving material up to 40 pounds Working in cramped and elevated locations Bending, lifting, stretching, reaching Standing and walking for up to 8+ hours daily Ascending/descending ladders, stairs, gangways safely Working in an industrial environment Supporting 24/7 operations with longer shifts, including nights A day in the life Our technicians take ownership of technical issues, troubleshoot problems, understand the broader context, maintain SLAs, act proactively, and improve processes through innovation. The role involves shift work, including nights, days, weekends, and holidays.
