What You'll Do

• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through hands-on, play-based experiences.
• Ensure children's safety at all times and maintain a clean and organized classroom.
• Assist with daily routines, such as meals, toileting, and rest time, to promote a sense of routine and structure.
• Promote positive behavior and help children develop essential life skills, such as conflict-resolution and communication.
• Communicate regularly with families about progress and concerns to build strong relationships and ensure a collaborative approach to learning.
• Observe and document children's development to identify areas of strength and need, and inform instruction and support.

Requirements

• Ability to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• High school diploma or early childhood education qualification (varies by region).
• Patient, empathetic, and positive behavior-management skills.
• First aid/CPR certification (often required).
• Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate practices.
• Experience working with young children.
