Location Location Camden City Campus Department Department School, Community and Workforce Training Programs Days and Hours Days and Hours Tuesday and Thursday 3:30 pm - 10:00 pm Requisition Number Position Goals Career and Technical Institute Instructor for Patient Care Technician will report directly to the Workforce Training and Continuing Education Program Supervisor and will deliver high-quality classroom and hands-on laboratory instruction. Instruction is provided using an approved curriculum and industry-relevant training materials to prepare students for entry-level employment as Patient Care Technicians. Job Description Plan, prepare, and deliver instruction aligned with the approved curriculum on a daily basis. Develop lesson plans that support student learning outcomes and workforce readiness. Organize and maintain instructional materials, tools, equipment, and supply inventories. Monitor and evaluate student progress, including grading and attendance tracking. Provide timely, accurate, and constructive feedback on student performance, behavior and participations. Maintain current knowledge of applicable industry standards, laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, and integrate this knowledge into daily instruction. Communicate effectively with school staff regarding student behavior and instructional progress. Model professionalism, reliability, and respect to contribute to a positive school culture. Minimum Qualifications 5 years of experience in the field. Prior teaching experience preferred. Proficient written communication skills including the ability to prepare reports, complete student evaluations and document student progress. Strong verbal communication skills for classroom instruction and student engagement. High School Diploma or GED . Current CPR certification for Healthcare Providers ( BLS ) is required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Allied Health, Healthcare Education, or a related field is preferred. At least one current healthcare credential appropriate to the discipline, such as Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse ( LPN ), Certified Patient Care Technician ( CPCT/A), Certified Nursing Assistant ( CNA ), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant ( CCMA ), or other applicable industry-recognized certification is required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This position requires mobility throughout the campus. Dexterity in working with computers is mandatory. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while teaching in a classroom and lab settings. Ability to lift, carry, and move program related equipment or training materials up to 50lbs. Sufficient manual dexterity to demonstrate patient care skills, phlebotomy procedures, EKG placement, vital signs assessment, and operation of medical equipment. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and assist with patient transfers, positioning, and other clinical demonstrations while maintaining safe body mechanics.
