QC Technician

QC Technician Our client is a respected engineering and construction organization supporting complex industrial infrastructure projects throughout the United States. They are seeking a detail-oriented QC Technician to help ensure exceptional workmanship, safety, and compliance on large-scale construction projects. What You'll Do Perform quality inspections throughout mechanical installation, fabrication, and welding activities. Verify completed work complies with project specifications, engineering drawings, applicable codes, and established quality standards. Review construction plans and technical documentation to help ensure work is completed accurately and according to project requirements. Complete inspection documentation and keep organized records throughout the duration of the project. Work closely with field personnel and project stakeholders to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and resolve project concerns. Participate in internal audits, inspections, and quality reviews while helping ensure continuous process improvement. Monitor construction activities to support compliance with safety requirements and quality expectations. Assist with investigations of nonconforming work and help implement effective corrective measures. Support quality planning activities, project documentation, and field verification efforts throughout project execution. Promote a culture focused on quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Proficiency reviewing construction drawings, technical documents, and project specifications. Experience performing quality inspections and maintaining accurate inspection documentation within an industrial or construction environment. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, evaluate information, and make sound decisions. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Ability to work extended hours, overtime, weekends, and travel when project schedules require. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Quality, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Three or more years of experience supporting quality control or construction quality programs in industrial environments. Experience supporting large commercial or advanced manufacturing construction projects. Familiarity with applicable welding codes, fabrication standards, and construction quality systems. ASQ certification or similar quality credential. Chinese language proficiency is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to safely navigate active construction sites. Frequent standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, reaching, and lifting throughout the workday. Strong attention to detail with the ability to evaluate completed work for quality and accuracy. Comfortable working at heights and using ladders when required.
