Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Illinois-licensed Emergency Medicine physicians for a locum tenens opportunity at a community hospital in Alton, Illinois. This role offers the chance to work within a remodeled emergency department environment with comprehensive physician and advanced practitioner coverage, Epic EMR, and a steady patient volume.

• Emergency Medicine locum tenens opportunity
• Annual ED volume: 22,401
• 16-bed emergency department
• Certified Stroke Center by the Joint Commission
• Emergency Department Approved Pediatrics by the State of Illinois
• 24-hour physician coverage (6am-6pm; 6pm-6am)
• 14 hours of NP/PA coverage (9am-11pm)
• 20 hours of scribe support
• EMR: Epic

Schedule Details

• Start: ASAP - Ongoing
• Coverage: 24 hours daily, with shifts from 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am
• Additional schedule details to be discussed during presentation

Clinical Scope

• Evaluation, stabilization, treatment, and disposition of emergency patients
• Management of acute medical, traumatic, and neurological presentations
• Collaboration with nursing, advanced practitioners, and hospital support teams
• Documentation and order entry within Epic
• Coordination of admissions, transfers, and discharges as appropriate

Requirements

• Active Illinois medical license with board certification in Emergency Medicine
• Must have in-hand state license, active DEA, and Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) if required
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
• ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications preferred
• Recent emergency department experience preferred
