Director of Accounting

Responsibilities

Kforce is partnering with a profitable, growing global medical device/manufacturing company seeking a Director of Accounting in Bedford, MA. This is a hybrid position offering flexibility to work onsite 3-4 days per week. This individual will serve as the senior accounting leader in the US reporting directly to the CFO based in Europe. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity with significant international exposure. Approximately 50% of the role will focus on international accounting and global consolidations, while also overseeing the broader accounting function.Responsibilities:

• Lead international accounting and global consolidation activities
• Oversee general accounting operations, including AP and AR
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual close and financial reporting
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements
• Lead technical accounting matters and partner with external auditors
• Oversee international tax, fixed assets and related accounting activities
• Manage and develop one direct report
• Partner closely with the CFO and international leadership
• Leverage AI and automation to streamline processes and improve accounting efficiencies

Skills

• CPA preferred
• 8-12 years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience within medical device, manufacturing, life sciences or a related industry
• Strong international accounting and consolidation experience required
• Strong technical accounting and U.S. GAAP knowledge
• Hands-on operational accounting experience, including oversight of AP/AR
• Experience working with external auditors
• Experience leveraging AI and automation for process improvement

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
