About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Workforce and Continuing Education to lead the strategic alignment of workforce development, continuing education, and credit pathways. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a cohesive, high-impact system that supports enrollment growth, revenue generation, and the regional workforce. This role involves overseeing various departments, including academic programming, training centers, operations, and adult development and literacy programs. The VPWCE will also be the primary contact for regional employers, economic development offices, and chambers of commerce, and will lead the design and delivery of customized training for local businesses. Collaboration with the Cabinet, particularly the Vice President for Academic Affairs, is essential to develop seamless pathways and stackable credentials between vocational and traditional academic tracks. Applicants for the VPWCE position at the company should ideally hold an advanced degree in a relevant field and have at least 7 years' of senior management experience. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in business operations, supervisory experience, and a proven track record in workforce development and continuing education. The VPWCE must be an excellent communicator, able to engage with both internal and external stakeholders, and demonstrate a commitment to the mission of the institution and student success. Responsibilities also include managing the budget, securing grants, and ensuring that all programs meet state compliance and accreditation standards.
