Role Overview

BEPC is seeking an experienced Biopharma Project Manager to support our customer’s onsite operations in Durham, NC. This position will lead and coordinate cross-functional workstreams supporting cGMP biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical site start-up, commissioning, and technology transfer activities.

The role is highly execution-focused, combining integrated schedule management, workshop facilitation, cost control, resource planning, RAID management, and governance reporting. The ideal candidate brings 5–7 years of relevant project management experience in a cGMP BioPharma or pharmaceutical environment and advanced proficiency with monday.com and other project management tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate high-value cross-functional workshops, alignment sessions, and recurring Tier 2 workstream execution huddles.
• Build, maintain, and baseline workstream-level integrated schedules using monday.com.
• Ensure schedule logic, dependencies, and milestones remain aligned with the Master Integrated Schedule (IS).
• Monitor workstream progress and proactively identify schedule risks, delays, and dependencies.
• Track financial performance across assigned workstreams, including purchase order drawdowns, invoice approvals, vendor spending, and cost variances.
• Partner with Workstream Leads on resource loading and capacity planning to help prevent operational bottlenecks during ramp-up activities.
• Maintain and actively drive resolution of RAID logs, including Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies.
• Maintain action-item registers and follow up with responsible stakeholders to support timely completion.
• Identify cross-functional risks and coordinate mitigation activities with appropriate stakeholders.
• Support Workstream Leads in preparing standardized 3-page status reports, 4-pillar health checks, exception reports, and executive summaries.
• Prepare project information for Tier 2 and Tier 3 governance forums.
• Facilitate communication and alignment among technical, operational, project, and business stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, schedules, financial information, action items, and governance materials.
• Support successful execution of site start-up, commissioning, technology transfer, and related pharmaceutical manufacturing initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or a related technical field.
• 5–7 years of project management experience within cGMP BioPharma or pharmaceutical operations .
• Project management experience supporting site start-up, commissioning, or technology transfer operations .
• Advanced proficiency with monday.com for project and integrated schedule management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Excel .
• Proficiency with Google Workspace , including Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive.
• Strong experience developing and maintaining integrated project schedules.
• Strong workshop and meeting facilitation skills.
• Demonstrated stakeholder management experience in a cross-functional environment.
• Experience identifying, tracking, and mitigating cross-functional project risks.
• Experience managing RAID logs, action registers, milestones, and project dependencies.
• Ability to support project cost tracking, vendor spending, invoice approvals, and variance reporting.
• Strong resource and capacity planning capabilities.
• Fluency in pharmaceutical manufacturing terminology.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop concise project and executive-level reporting.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Durham, NC.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP certification.
• Experience supporting complex pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing site ramp-up initiatives.
• Experience working with formal project governance structures and executive reporting.
