Controls Engineer

We are seeking a Controls Engineer to join a growing automation team responsible for the design, programming, implementation, and support of industrial control systems. This role will lead projects from concept through commissioning, working with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and automated equipment to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities, experience with industrial automation systems, and a passion for solving complex technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Manage controls projects from concept through startup and commissioning.
• Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems.
• Develop and maintain control system documentation and electrical schematics.
• Support automated equipment installations and resolve system performance issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred.
• 2+ years of controls or automation engineering experience.
• Strong PLC programming experience, preferably with Rockwell and/or Siemens platforms.
• Experience with HMI development, robotics, and industrial automation systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot automated equipment and control systems.
• Experience reading and developing electrical schematics and ladder logic.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Dane, WI.

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/yr.

PTO: 3 weeks *Pro-rated (can offer more if candidate requires more)

This is a hybrid position in Dane,WI.

This position is anticipated to close on Jul 14, 2026.
