Job Description: Basic Function Under minimal supervision, perform a wide variety of duties to support the Quality department. Perform mechanical and/or electrical inspections, test and inspection of incoming material, manufactured parts and final assemblies. Know and apply fundamental concepts of inspection and product quality. - Under minimal supervision, perform electrical and mechanical inspection of incoming or outgoing materials, determine conformance to specifications
- Inspection of PCBA to confirm compliance to drawings and IPC-A-610 workmanship requirements.
- Use mechanical, optical and electrical measurement equipment to perform inspections to drawing/specifications. Record and distribute inspection results.
- Generate Non-conforming Material Report (NMR) for inspection rejects and support the NMR process
- Inspect Incoming First Article samples and complete inspection report
- Generate Customer First Article and change request documents and submit them to customer or onto customer web-portal. Follow-up and provide additional information as needed. Monitor submittal status and provide updates.
- Maintain inspection, measuring and test equipment as necessary.
- Participate in internal, client, or regulatory audits as requested.
- Serve as back-up employee for finished product inspection.
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and SPC a plus.
- Support internal audit process.
- Support company in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to follow all safety procedures.
- Regular attendance and ability to get along with others in a team.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 3-5 years experience in inspection and manufacturing environment required.
- Current certification to the IPC-A-610 is preferred or candidate is capable of gaining certification once hired.
- Must be experienced with dimensional measuring equipment as well as technical and detail oriented.
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) a plus.
- PC knowledge with Microsoft Windows and basic knowledge of Word and Excel required.
- Ability to search and navigate through web-based programs preferred.
- Ability to analyze drawings, sketches, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances preferred.
