Quality Assurance Technician

Position Summary The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for inspection and quality support for the Manufacturing Department. The Technician will also support quality documentation related to the products produced. The Technician will be responsible for resolving quality issues and supporting continuous improvement activities. Responsibilities PerformReceivingInspectionasrequiredonrawmaterials,includingtestingandrecordingresults. Reviewsproducttestingdata for complianceandmaintainsdatarecords. GeneratesCertificatesofConformance, Compliance,andAnalysisasrequired. MaintainssampleretentionsofFinishedGoods,withLotNumbertracking. Recordsandmaintainsproductnon-conformances,includingRGA/CSI/CAPAforproductquality. MaintainsCalibrationrecordsofdefinedmeasuringequipment. SupportmanufacturingbatchandpackagingQC, spotcheckandrandomsampletesting. Managedispositionandreworkfor outofspecorreturnedproduct. CompletesCustomerCompliancerequestandsupportsCustomerAuditsasneeded. SupportsSupplierAuditsandpartakesin NewSupplierQualification. SupportsPackageIntegrityTestingprojectswithEngineeringTeam. SupportsKPIdatacollectionforproductqualityandintegrity. AllotherdutiesasassignedbythePlant Manager. Skills and Specifications Associates of Science or equivalent, preferably in an engineering discipline. Excellent communication skills; ability to work across multiple departments Experience in a chemical/manufacturingregulatoryenvironment Minimum5yearsofexperience in manufacturingenvironment. Basicknowledgeofengineeringprinciples,technicalwriting,materialsproperties. Knowledgeoflaboratoryequipment:analyticalbalance,ovens,Instron, Karl Fisherwatertester,viscometer. Stronganalytical,decisionmaking,problemsolving,attentiontodetail,andtime management skills are a must. Must be able to read,writeand speak fluent English. Strong computer skills, includingthe MSOffice suiteand ERP. Mustbeaneffectiveteamplayer. Physical Requirements Prolongedperiodssitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able tolift 50poundsinfrequently. Must be able to access all areas of the facility todeterminetheneedsof thecompany.
