We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious student to join our team for summer 2027! As the Operations Intern , you will:

What you will do:

• Responsible for personal safety as well as the safety of plant personnel and contractors.
• Support safety, environmental, and quality initiatives, including performing and assisting in investigations & corrective actions •
• Ensure workforce compliance with all plant quality procedures and guidelines
• Support plant productivity and production scheduling requirements
• Remove obstacles to help productivity of hourly workforce •
• Support maintenance requirements and cost control initiatives
• Agility and Innovation
• Identify and execute on improvement projects that impact the hourly workforce position
• Offer new ideas and think outside-the-box
• Ensure team adaptability, flexibility and readiness to change Relationships and People
• Professionally lead and manage production requirements with the hourly workforce
• Create environment conducive to teamwork
• Participate and lead improvement projects
• Support employee coaching and counseling guidelines

What you will bring:

• Progress towards a Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, or other related engineering field
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment
• Interpersonal, verbal and written technical communication skills, e.g. making presentations and writing technical data/reports
• Reliable transportation required to get to and from facility each work day

To be eligible for consideration, candidates must:

• Currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Ingredion does not intend to sponsor work visas with respect to this position or to provide this position as OPT or CPT.
• Be a currently enrolled student in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program. If currently enrolled in an undergrad status, must have completed at least two years of coursework with status as a sophomore, junior or non-graduating senior.

Pay Range: $22-26 USD/hr

Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).
