Food Prep Worker

SmartTalent is hiring Food Prep Workers for a busy food production and retail environment in Lynnwood, WA. Location Lynnwood, WA

Pay Rate $18.50 - $19 per hour DOE

Schedule Full-time Various shifts available, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Duties

• Prepare fresh ingredients including washing, cutting, slicing, peeling, and portioning fruits, vegetables, meats, and other food products.

• Follow standardized recipes and preparation procedures.

• Package, label, and stock prepared food items.

• Maintain clean and organized workstations throughout the shift.

• Operate kitchen equipment and food preparation tools safely.

• Monitor product quality and freshness, removing items that do not meet quality standards.

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.

• Assist with inventory rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.

• Restock supplies and ingredients as needed.

• Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals.

• Perform general cleaning duties and support other departments as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous food preparation, kitchen, grocery, deli, restaurant, or production experience preferred.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

• Strong commitment to food safety and sanitation practices.

• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.

• Basic English communication skills preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

• Frequently lift up to 40 pounds.

• Perform repetitive motions including bending, reaching, twisting, and grasping.

• Comfortable working in refrigerated or temperature-controlled environments.

• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
