Salary: $140,000 – $220,000 base + ESOP

The Opportunity

A national general contractor is looking to add an experienced Commissioning / CX Quality Manager to its growing Mission Critical team.

This is a key leadership position responsible for driving commissioning, quality assurance and system verification across complex data center and mission-critical construction projects.

You'll be involved from preconstruction through final turnover , ensuring building systems are installed, tested and validated against design intent, contract requirements, manufacturer specifications and operational readiness standards.

If you have a strong background in data center construction, commissioning and quality , this is an opportunity to take ownership of commissioning strategy while working closely with owners, CxAs, design teams, subcontractors and project leadership.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead commissioning strategy from preconstruction through turnover , integrating commissioning requirements into project quality plans.
• Oversee commissioning activities including Factory Witness Testing (FWT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), Pre-Functional Testing, Functional Performance Testing (FPT) and Integrated Systems Testing (IST)
• Drive readiness and performance of critical electrical, mechanical, controls and fire/life safety systems
• Develop and implement risk-based DFOW strategies, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), hold points and witness points
• Conduct field inspections to verify installation quality, system completeness and trade coordination.
• Identify and resolve deficiencies early through inspections, observations, NCRs and WIP tracking.
• Lead system readiness reviews and support Owner operational acceptance
• Review turnover documentation including O&M manuals, training materials and maintenance procedures
• Provide technical support through system testing, startup and commissioning.
• Lead root-cause analysis and coordinate corrective actions when system or performance issues arise.
• Work closely with Owner CxAs, design teams and trade partners to align commissioning scope, sequencing and acceptance criteria.
• Mentor Project Managers, Superintendents and Quality teams on commissioning processes and system quality standards.

What We're Looking For

• 5–10+ years' experience within mission-critical or data center construction.
• Strong understanding of commissioning and quality processes
• Deep technical knowledge of:
• Electrical distribution systems
• Mechanical cooling systems
• Controls and integrated systems testing
• Experience with commissioning documentation and field testing/system diagnostics.
• Familiarity with TIA-942, Uptime Institute Tier Standards, ASHRAE guidelines and Building Commissioning Association best practices
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
