Quality Assurance (QA) Technician I Location: Parsippany, NJ (Onsite)

Schedule: 1st Shift | M–F, 8 AM–4 PM

Pay: $28.78/hr

Precision and accuracy drive production success. This role offers a consistent first-shift schedule, a single-round onsite interview, and a hands-on environment where technical skills directly impact quality. For a professional with a background in quality control, this position provides a stable, structured opportunity to work with advanced measurement tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Precision Measurement: Utilize micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, optical comparators, X-Y-Z measuring equipment, and X-ray tools to verify dimensions.

• Specification Analysis: Interpret written inspection instructions, quality requirements, and customer specifications to ensure exact conformance.

• Comprehensive Inspection: Perform first-run, in-process, and final part inspections, as well as airflow testing and incoming material verification.

• Geometry Verification: Locate reference points on parts to measure angles, arcs, and radii using surface plates, gauge blocks, and V-blocks.

• Documentation: Complete required inspection forms, quality logs, and production reports accurately.

Candidate Profile

• Required Experience: Proven history in a Quality Assurance (QA) role.

• Preferred Experience: Technical background within a manufacturing environment.

• Technical Literacy: Proficiency with computerized shop floor tools, blueprints, and technical documentation.

• Physical & Safety Commitment: Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs and willingness to wear standard protective equipment (safety glasses, gloves, earplugs, safety shoes).

• Adaptability: A collaborative mindset with the flexibility to rotate across different production areas as needed.

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities:
• Inspect machined work pieces to ensure conformance to specification
• Interpret and follow written inspection instructions, quality requirements and customer 
specifications
• Measure dimensions such as length, height and distance between reference points, using 
precision instruments such as micrometer, caliper, dial indicator, optical comparator, X-Y-Z 
measuring equipment, X-ray to insure product meets specifications
• Locate reference point on part and measure dimensions, such as angle, arc and radii, using 
combination of aids, such as surface plate, angle plates, parallel bars, gauge blocks, V-blocks 
and precision measuring instruments
• Complete all necessary inspection forms and reports
• Inspect first run, in process and final parts
• Perform airflow tests, incoming and final inspections
• Perform, as assigned, other similar or related duties

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
