Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized critical care nursing to ICU patients, ensuring high-quality patient care and safety. Manages complex clinical situations and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Administer advanced nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting.
Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatments, adjusting care plans as needed.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care strategies.
Document patient progress, treatments, and interventions accurately in electronic health records.
Respond swiftly to emergency situations, including code blues and other urgent events.
Assist with procedures such as post-cath interventions, balloon pump, and Impella management.

Qualifications:

Possess a minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience.
Hold a current, valid state nursing license; pending licenses not accepted.
BLS and ACLS certifications required; epic experience preferred.
Demonstrate ability to float across multiple campuses as needed.
Have successful travel or agency experience, demonstrating adaptability.
Be willing to work night shifts (3x12s, 19:00 - 07:00) without blocked schedule options.
