Bedford Housekeeper

Private Bedford family seeks an experienced, detail-oriented, and proactive Live-Out Housekeeper to maintain their home and support the smooth day-to-day operation of the household. This is a full-time, year-round position consisting of a five-day workweek, Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with flexibility as needed.

The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, efficient, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, orderly, and welcoming home environment. While the position may occasionally involve assisting with school-aged children after school or during schedule gaps, the primary focus of the role is housekeeping, household organization, laundry, meal preparation, and general household support.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the overall cleanliness and organization of the residence
• Perform daily housekeeping duties, including tidying, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and upkeep of common areas
• Manage household laundry, including washing, folding, ironing, and putting away clothing and linens
• Change bed linens and maintain bedrooms and bathrooms
• Organize closets, cabinets, pantries, and household storage areas
• Maintain household inventories and notify family of needed supplies
• Grocery shopping and household errands as needed
• Assist with meal preparation when needed 
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and fully stocked
• Assist with seasonal organization projects and household upkeep
• Coordinate deliveries and assist with general household logistics as needed
• Assist with school pick-ups when needed
• Supervise children after school when needed
• Help children stay organized with school belongings and activities
• Provide occasional support during school holidays, early dismissals, or schedule changes
• Maintain open communication with parents regarding children's schedules and needs

Requirements

• Excellent references from both current and previous employers
• Minimum 2+ years of related experience working as a Housekeeper in a private home
• Strong housekeeping, laundry, and household organization skills
• Experience preparing healthy meals for families
• Highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
• Comfortable around pets (one small dog)
• Ability to multitask and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization
• Flexibility to occasionally assist with childcare responsibilities as needed
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
