Shelter Cleaning Volunteer

Catholic Charities of Des Moines DVSA Program

We are seeking dependable volunteers to help with cleaning and light upkeep at our shelter. This role is essential to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and dignified space for the individuals and families we serve. Volunteers will assist with tasks such as general cleaning, organizing shared spaces, and helping ensure the shelter remains comfortable and sanitary.

This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work and want to make a tangible impact behind the scenes.

Requirements:

Completion of our volunteer application
Background check (required for all shelter volunteers)
Reliability and respect for confidentiality

Training and guidance will be provided. Flexible scheduling may be available.
