Role Summary

The Medical Logistics Manager is responsible for the procurement, inventory, organization, and accountability of medical and non-medical equipment, supplies, and pharmaceuticals in support of the organization’s clinical and operational activities. This position manages day-to-day medical logistics functions, including receiving and inspecting shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, tracking expiration dates and lot numbers, organizing medical storage areas, preparing equipment and supply packages for operational use, and coordinating purchase orders.

The Medical Logistics Specialist works closely with clinical, operational, and administrative personnel to ensure medical supplies and equipment remain properly stocked, organized, serviceable, and ready for use.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, inventory, store, issue, and track medical equipment and supplies.
• Conduct routine cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliations, maintaining accurate records.
• Maintain appropriate par levels for commonly used medical supplies.
• Prepare purchase requests and coordinate ordering of medical equipment and supplies.
• Lead the procurement, receipt, inventory, storage, accountability, and distribution of pharmaceuticals in accordance with organizational policy and applicable requirements.
• Track pharmaceutical lot numbers, quantities, expiration dates, storage conditions, and disposition.
• Obtain quotes and communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, shipping, and delivery.
• Prepare medical equipment and supply packages for training, clinical operations, deployments, or other organizational activities.

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum of two years of experience in logistics, inventory management, supply chain operations, warehouse operations, medical logistics, or a related field.
• Experience using electronic inventory, ERP, asset-management, or warehouse-management systems is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft 365 applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, clinical personnel, operational staff, and organizational leadership.
• Prior experience managing medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, durable medical equipment, or clinical inventory is preferred.
• Experience supporting EMS, hospital, surgical, critical care, military, disaster-response, or austere medical operations is advantageous but not required.
• Military medical logistics experience, including experience as a 68J Medical Logistics Specialist or similar military occupational specialty is advantageous but not required.
