Location Burlington, NC Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule/Shift 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift, Night Shift (7 PM - 7:30 AM). Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) is required. Floating is required as needed. Charge RN shifts may be assigned as necessary. Job Description The Registered Nurse will join a 29-bed unit that provides care for adults through geriatrics, focusing on orthopedic, medical, and surgical patients. The unit features telemetry monitoring and a dedicated physical therapy gym, ensuring patients receive appropriate rehabilitation within the unit. High-volume patient populations include those who have undergone total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and kyphoplasties. Responsibilities Deliver patient care in a medical-surgical setting, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, documenting all relevant information in the patient chart. Monitor patient vitals and report any changes in patient conditions to the healthcare team. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Manage charge RN duties as required. Required Experience Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a charge nurse role. Previous travel experience is required. Experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry unit is preferred. Certifications/Licensure Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina. BLS certification is required.
