Recognizing changes in infant condition and communicating concerns promptly. Safely managing feeding plans, medication administration, and documentation while working within our unit workflows.

Travel Compliance Before You Submit: RTO: Maximum 40 hours per 13-week contract. Verify all RTO is included at submission no additional RTO will be approved after offer acceptance. Pre-Start Time Off: Disclose any vacation between the sign date and start date so an appropriate start date can be requested. Experience: Candidate meets all experience requirements listed in the job description. State License: Pending licenses accepted (must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date). Nursys Verification: Required with submission. All license actions/hits will be sent to UVA leadership for approval prior to proceeding with a candidate Certifications: Include copies of all required certifications. References: Required. Epic Experience: Required unless otherwise noted in the job or unit description. Background: Notify the Client Delivery Manager of any known background issues. Previous UVA Employment: Inform the Client Delivery Manager if the candidate has previously worked for UVA Health as permanent staff or an internal/external traveler. Permanent staff/internal travelers: 1-year separation + leadership approval required. External travelers: Cannot exceed 365 total assignment days. Facility Policies: Floating: Travelers must float within their scope of practice as needed. Mileage Rule: Select units have a 50-mile travel restriction. Locals are not accepted for the following units: Clinical Lab Blood Bank, Toxicology, Clinical Lab Scientist, Core Lab, Davis Lab, Laboratory, Histotechnologists, Outpatient Surgery Center PACU, OR - CVOR, OR, OR - Ortho, OR - Thoracic, OR - Neuro, Peri-Anesthesia, Sterile Processing Tech, Outpatient Surgery, Interventional Radiology, CT Tech, Diagnostic Rad Tech, MRI Radiology, Neuro Interventional Radiology- RN, Neuro Interventional Radiology Tech, Vein Clinic, Radiology RN, Imaging Support Separation Policy: Travelers are not eligible to return after reaching 365 total assignment days, regardless of time away.
