Manager, Corporate Affairs & Stakeholder Relations

We are partnering with a global industrial manufacturing organization to identify a Manager, Corporate Affairs & Stakeholder Relations for a strategic communications leadership role based in Houston, TX . This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working close to the business in a complex industrial environment, advising senior leaders, guiding a capable team, and bringing consistency to communications and stakeholder relations across multiple sites. The strongest candidates will have experience in chemical manufacturing, oil & gas, energy, petrochemical, or similarly complex regulated industrial environments. What you’ll be doing Lead communications and stakeholder relations strategy across North American manufacturing operations Act as a strategic communications partner to senior manufacturing, safety, operations, and corporate leaders Develop frameworks for community outreach, turnaround communications, internal/external messaging, government/public affairs support, and crisis communications Support communications planning for major operational projects, initiatives, and business priorities Guide site and regional communications/stakeholder relations leads to ensure consistent messaging and shared best practices Help standardize communications tools and messaging frameworks while respecting local market and stakeholder nuances Lead, coach, and develop a team of direct and indirect reports Ensure messaging is clear, credible, and aligned with broader business, brand, and reputation objectives What we’re looking for 10+ years of experience in communications, corporate affairs, public affairs, stakeholder relations, government relations, or a related field Experience in industrial, manufacturing, chemical, oil & gas, energy, petrochemical, or similarly regulated environments is strongly preferred Strong experience advising senior leaders on communications strategy, stakeholder issues, reputation, or crisis situations Proven ability to lead teams, provide strategic guidance, and develop people Experience building communications plans, stakeholder frameworks, messaging tools, playbooks, or scalable best practices across multiple sites or regions Strong business acumen and the ability to quickly understand operational, commercial, regulatory, and reputational priorities Calm, professional, and steady communication style, especially when navigating ambiguity, change, or urgent issues Direct and confident, while still diplomatic, polished, and relationship-oriented This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building structure, advising senior leaders, developing teams, and working close to the business in a global industrial environment.
