About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Communications Officer (CCO) to lead and manage a dynamic team responsible for the strategic communication and public affairs of the institution. The CCO will work closely with the Dean and other senior leaders to develop and execute integrated communication programs that align with the company's vision and priorities. This role involves serving as the chief spokesperson, overseeing media relations, and ensuring the company's message is effectively communicated to both internal and external audiences. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, creative, and committed to the values of open inquiry and diversity. They will also be responsible for leading a network of communicators, strengthening relationships across the institution, and driving the development of a strong digital and editorial presence. Applicants for the CCO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years' experience in senior communication roles, with a proven track record in staff management. A graduate degree in a related field and experience in higher education or government are preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in media relations, brand management, and crisis communication, as well as the ability to build relationships and navigate complex organizational structures. They should be adept at using various communication channels and be familiar with digital technologies and marketing campaigns. The role requires a leader with excellent interpersonal skills, a commitment to fostering a sense of community, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, decentralized environment.
