Requirements

• Required certification: RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist
• 1+ years of experience
• Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required; must have level 4 NICU experience; cardiac PICU experience preferred 2. Cases: NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, acute care pediatrics patients (neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents) 3. Certifications: RRT cert, BLS, NRP required; PALS and ACCS preferred; copies required with submission; RRT travelers must have license in-hand at time of submission 4. License: VA State License required; can submit with pending provided can obtain temp before start and must have another state license to be eligible for temp; Nursys verification required for submittal 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: Epic experience required unless otherwise noted 7. Shifts/Call: 13 weeks, nights, 36 or 48 hours available; every other weekend, every other holiday; self scheduling model 8. RTO: No RTO for 7/4 allowed; travelers guaranteed up to 40 hours RTO per 13-week contract; no additional requests approved after acceptance 9. Returning Staff: Must inform Client Delivery Manager if previously employed at UVA Health system; must be separated for one year and approved by leadership; external travelers cannot work more than 365 days regardless of time off 10. Travel/Local: Select units have 50-mile travel restriction; this unit not listed so no mile radius rule applies 11. Background: Must inform Client Delivery Manager if aware of background hits 12. Modules: Non-billable up to 16 hours, excess time is billable; completed during orientation, vary by specialty; recorded in Workday 13. Travel Experience: Not specified as required 14.
