Transitional Kindergarten Aide

Job Summary
This is a 5.5 hour per day Monday through Friday position where you will be under the direction of Site Administrator, performs duties, which provide more efficient and effective utilization of the teacher's time and capability for instructional purposes. Carries out assignments given by the teacher; assists the teacher with activities and other roles which free the teacher for professional teaching duties; reports any information about a student which may have educational significance to the teacher; respects the confidentiality of any information obtained regarding the staff or students. The assistant will have some responsibilities in working with individual students on a tutoring basis or small group basis under the direction of a certificated staff member. In addition, the assistant will perform other duties as required by the teacher or Principal.
