SCHOOL ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT #19

Substitutes are required to work a minimum of 5 days per school year to remain on the active substitute list. To maintain the 30 day per diem rate of pay in 2027-2028 you must work a minimum of 40 days during the 2026-2027 school year.

Long Term Substitute Teachers* Goffstown $269.82 per day on day 1 if assignment 20+ days

• Retired Goffstown teachers who worked for at least 15 years in the District and who retired from the GSD will receive $370.99 per day

New Boston $269.88 per day on day 1 if assignment 20+ days

• Retired New Boston teachers who worked for at least 15 years in the District and who retired from the NBSD will receive $355.85 per day

It is the responsibility of the substitute to provide a copy of current certification / license to SAU #19.

DESIGNATED SUBSTITUTES

• For the 2026-2027 school year, employee subs who can commit to a full day, regular schedule on a weekly basis at an assigned building will be paid $115 per day. Half day commitments will be at half rate - $57.50. Designated subs must be available to work the full day to receive this higher rate of pay. Those who need to arrive late or leave early will be paid at the per diem rates listed above.
• Individuals who can commit to the role of designated substitute do not need to select jobs on their pre-arranged designated day(s) via AESOP.
• If the assigned building does not need your services on your designated day, you will be asked to go to another building in need of your services to provide coverage.
