KO723 - Newborn Care Specialist - TriBeCa, NY

Overview

Kind first-time parents living in TriBeCa, NY, are in search of a seasoned newborn care specialist to help guide them through this new phase of life. The role will start mid- to late November and last 3 to 6 months. The family is open to a 6-month commitment for the right person. This is a 20-hour-a-day role with a 4-hour break. 

Responsibilities

The seasoned candidate will play a key role in guiding mom and dad and teaching them during this early stage. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Ensuring the baby’s safety, comfort, and overall well-being at all times
• Establishing and implementing healthy sleep habits and age-appropriate overnight routines that parents can confidently continue after the contract concludes
• Support feeding routines, including breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, and formula supplementation as needed
• Maintain a calm, encouraging, and flexible approach to postpartum support
• Monitor newborn wellness and communicate any concerns appropriately
• Help establish healthy sleep and feeding routines
• Collaborate respectfully with parents to support their preferences and parenting style
• Ensure all newborn-related areas remain clean, organized, and stocked 

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have a positive and calm demeanor with glowing references
• It is important that the candidate works well with first time parents and understand the difference between guiding and pushing. 
• Ability and willingness to help where needed
• Able to travel

Requirements

• Valid U.S. Passport, Green Card, or Employment Authorization Card (EAC)
• Current vaccinations, including Flu, RSV, Tdap, and MMR
• Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification
• Availability to commit to the full contract term
