License: WA license required for CNAs and LPNs

Certifications: CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA

Description: The Sterile Processing Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficacy of surgical instruments and supplies. This position requires proficiency in sterilization processes and aseptic technique. Technicians will work with a variety of surgical instruments and are expected to maintain high standards of quality. Candidates will be responsible for organizing, processing, and distributing surgical instruments and trays. The department specializes in neuro, orthopedic, robotics, and some pediatrics, along with general service lines. All technicians are required to work rotating weekends unless otherwise specified. Candidates may float to different units as needed. This is a teaching department, and collaboration with a motivated team is essential. Travelers have zero documentation in the electronic medical record system and will complete a training module. Additional qualifications may be preferred in various surgical specialties. Candidates must commit to working three of the five major holidays each year.
