Launched in 2021, it is a paid internship opportunity aimed at a pool of talented undergraduate and graduate students who could bring fresh thinking and innovation to the environmental sector.In particular, WWFaims to employ interns who have not previously had a breadth of professional experience and have not previously considered conservation as a career pathway. Position Summary WWF seeks aBRIDGE Corporate Engagement Undergraduate Intern. The Corporate Engagement Intern will support WWF’s Private Sector Engagement team, with a focus on both Consumer Engagement and Employee Engagement initiatives. This role helps advance WWF’s mission by strengthening how we engage the employees and consumers of our corporate partners—deepeningour partnerships and generating essential fundraising support for conservation. The intern will contribute to strategic prospecting efforts by researching potential corporate partners, analyzing industry trends across other environmental NGOs, and supporting data‑driven decision‑making by reviewing insights from ourPowerBIdashboards toidentifystrategic contacts within priority companies. This internship is ideal for someone who is curious about the intersection of corporate partnerships, sustainability, and stakeholder engagement. Responsibilities Internship Description: Theinternwill support WWF’s Private Sector Engagement team, working closely with both the Consumer Engagement and Employee Engagementsubteams. Theseteamspartner with leading companies to inspire their employees and consumers totake actionfor nature—strengthening relationships and generating critical fundraising support for WWF’s global conservation mission. In this role, the intern will conduct prospect research for bothsubteams,identifyingcompanies that align with WWF’s priorities and meet key characteristics of strong potential partners. They will build a shared prospect list that will inform outreach strategies for the upcoming fiscal year. The intern will also complete a landscape analysis toidentifytrends in how companies are engaging other environmental NGOs to help inform our strategy and approach with a goal of enhancing WWF’s work. Additionally, the intern will support data‑driven strategy development by analyzing WWF’sPowerBIdashboards to surface strategic contacts within priority companies. These insights will helpidentifyindividuals who could champion new workplace giving campaigns and other engagement opportunities. In addition to these projects, the intern will have opportunities to support day‑to‑day partnership management andassistwith other initiatives that arise throughout the duration of the internship. This internship offers hands‑on experience at the intersection of corporate sustainability, stakeholder engagement, and partnership development. It is well‑suited for someone who is analytical, curious, and eager to learn how mission‑driven organizations collaborate with the private sector to drive meaningful environmental impact. Qualifications Pursuing anassociate’s orbachelor’s program inBusiness, Marketing, Communications, Education, or a related field.Those studying outside these areas are still highlyencouraged to apply. Must be an actively enrolled student and not received degree at time of internship start date (June 1, 2026). Preferred Qualifications: Subjectexpertisein one or more of the following areas is preferred, but notrequired: Ability to think strategically about audience engagement and partnership opportunities Learning Outcomes Familiarity with Corporate Sustainability Topics: The intern will gain exposure to the corporate sustainability landscape, with a particular focus on consumer and employee engagement strategies used across the private sector. Analytic Research Skills: The intern will strengthen their research and analytical abilities by producing comprehensive outputs such as prospect lists, portfolio analyses, and industry landscape mappings that inform team strategy. Quantifying Impact Metrics: The intern will learn how to translate qualitative and quantitative data into actionable insights and recommendations that support the development of reportable impact metrics across partnerships. New Business Development Experience: The intern will gain visibility into WWF’s partnership development process by supporting industry research and contributing to partner‑facing materials, including outreach language and proposal content. Advocating for WWF’s Mission: The intern will develop a deeper understanding of how WWF communicates and advances its conservation priorities through corporate partnerships that engage employees and consumers in meaningful action. WWF interns will beoffereda set of professional development opportunities, aimed at increasing their exposure to conservation and sustainability careers. This includes: Development discussions with their manager; Up to two online courses through Cornell University’seCornellprogram; Speed mentoring with different WWF teams; Opportunity to present their work to intern peers and WWF staff; Session on resume andinterviewingbest practices. Interns will also have access to an array of networking opportunities.This includes meetings with WWF’sstaff and leadership team. Location: DC-Remote.This position is flexible on location.The intern may complete the internship either in Washington DC or other states,with the exception of: Hawaii, Kentucky, Nevada, Oklahoma, Wyoming.
