Community Living Center Medical Director Location: San Francisco VA Health Care System Salary: $240,000 - $335,000 Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm About the Role: The San Francisco VA Health Care System is seeking a dedicated and experienced physician to serve as the Medical Director for the Community Living Center (CLC). This leadership role supports high-quality, Veteran-centered care within a dynamic interdisciplinary environment. Key Responsibilities: - Provide clinical leadership for CLC providers and staff - Oversee medical care delivery for CLC residents - Support program development and quality improvement initiatives - Ensure compliance with VA standards and accreditation requirements - Collaborate with nursing, social work, rehabilitation, and administrative teams - Participate in strategic planning for Geriatrics & Extended Care services Qualifications: - MD or DO degree - Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (Geriatrics preferred) - Active, unrestricted medical license in the U.S. - Experience in geriatrics, long-term care, or post-acute care strongly preferred - Leadership experience a plus Why the VA: - Competitive salary and federal benefits - Paid time off, retirement plans, and CME support - Mission-driven work serving our nation's Veterans - Opportunities for academic affiliation and research through UCSF (if applicable) - A supportive, collaborative care environment
