divh2IV Technician/h2pThis role is responsible for administering the application of intravenous vitamins. The IV tech will administer vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients directly to the patients body to optimize health and wellness./ppEssential Functions/pulliAdminister IVs and run fluid therapy for the intravenous process./liliMonitor the clients response to treatment./liliManage and prevent infections./liliAssess the clients physical health including vital signs, physical assessment, mental status, etc./liliIdentify contradictions to intravenous therapy for the client./liliTake clients vitals as needed./liliDocuments interactions and communication with clients regarding therapy services, assessment, and responses/reactions to treatment./liliAll other duties as assigned./li/ulpSkills/Abilities/ppCredentialed as either an RN (Registered Nurse), EMT (Emergency Medical Technician), Paramedic, ADN (Associate Degree in Nursing), Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Electronic Medical Records and Anatomy, Medical Terminology and Medical Practice Functions, Strong Venous Access Skills with the Ability to Access Peripheral Veins/pp2 years minimum of Vascular Access or Infusion Experience needed, Strong Venous Access Skills Including Ability to Access Peripheral Veins/ppExcellent Intravenous Catheter Placements Skills, Attention to Detail, Strong Interpersonal Skills, Strong Written and Verbal Communication, Customer Service, Patient Confidentiality, Stress Management; Multi-tasking, Self-Motivation, Self-Management, Problem-solving, Time Management, Independent Judgment, Resilience, Perseverance, Organization, Patient Care, Flexibility, Dependability and Reliability, Collaboration and teamwork, Ability to meet all performance standards of the position and continually learn in the position./ppPhysical Activities and Requirements of This Position/ppAbility to speak effectively and communicate clearly./ppAble to hear average conversations./ppThe employee is regularly required to type continuously throughout the day./ppThe employee is regularly required to use their hands to type and maneuver a mouse./ppSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus with 20/20 vision (with or without the assistance of eyeglasses/contacts)./ppThe employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and 100 pounds assisted as well as stand, sit, bend, kneel, squat, and walk for long periods of time./ppWorking Conditions/ppThis position will work eight (8) hour shifts Monday-Friday subject to employees availability and occasional Saturdays required. General clinic environment with climate control. Adequate lighting./p/div
