WORK SCHEDULE

100% FTE, Full-time, 40-hours-per-week Day Shift, Monday-Friday, 7:00am – 5:30pm, with rotating day off On-Call Shifts after regular department hours according to a monthly schedule Department Description The Cardiac Cath and EP Labs at UW Medical Center – Northwest are procedural areas providing advanced diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular care for adult patients. As a regional referral center and part of a nationally recognized academic medical center, the labs perform a broad range of procedures including diagnostic coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), device implantations, cardiac ablations and emergent cardiac procedures. The Cath/EP Lab team works collaboratively in a fast-paced environment to deliver safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care.

Work as part of a dynamic, comprehensive care team Make a difference for the patients and employees we serve Opportunity to provide career growth Primary Job Responsibilities Scrubbing, monitoring and circulating interventional cardiac procedures in the Cath Lab. Scrubbing device implant and ablation procedures in the EP Lab. There is no back room/monitoring expectation in the EP Lab (but we are willing to train in this if desired). Effectively communicate with physicians and staff about changes in the patient’s condition, including hemodynamic monitoring, symptomatology and any changes. May participate in quality improvement activities within the department. Case types include diagnostic assessments (Cors, RHC, R&L, EP studies), complex coronary interventions (PCI, CTO), cardiac arrythmia ablations, device implantations (pacemaker, ICD), and support devices (IABP, Impella). Requirements Associate of Arts (AA) degree from an accredited Interventional Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) program AND registration by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) AND Licensure by the State of Washington as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CIS) OR Associate of Arts (AA) degree from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program AND Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) AND Licensure by the State of Washington as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
