Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others? Join a traveling Physical Therapist role in Tuckerton, NJ (Outpatient) where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing life in a new location. This position focuses on orthopedic care with 60-minute evaluations and treatment sessions. Candidates will evaluate patients, develop and modify treatment plans, document care, participate in student education when assigned, and contribute to performance improvement and safety initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active New Jersey state PT license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience in outpatient orthopedics preferred.
• Ability to perform 60-minute evaluations and provide skilled therapeutic interventions.
• Competency in clinical documentation, goal writing, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in accordance with clinic policies and payer requirements.
• Adherence to state Practice Act, maintenance of professional licensure, and completion of state-mandated continuing education.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supervising students and contributing to clinical education.
• Previous participation in performance improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with safe patient handling practices and workplace safety programs.

Assignment Details

• Schedule: 5x8.
• Flexible 40-hour workweek with 1–2 evenings until 7 PM.
• Orthopedic outpatient setting, 60-minute evaluation plus treatment sessions.
