Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary: The Emergency Department Registered Nurse provides high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency setting. They collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement effective care plans while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to organizational standards.

Responsibilities:

• Administer emergency nursing care accurately and efficiently in response to patient needs.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes promptly and accurately.
• Support the organization’s mission, vision, and values through professional practice.
• Respond rapidly to emergency situations, demonstrating critical thinking and clinical skills.
• Maintain compliance with all licensing, certification, and clinical requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold current licensure as a registered nurse in Maine or have pending licensure by endorsement.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Possess current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications within six months of hire.
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of relevant emergency nursing experience.
• Possess strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Exhibit the ability to work independently and efficiently in high-pressure situations.
