Primary Care Physician OpportunityConviva Primary Care, a subsidiary of Humana Inc., is looking for a primary care physician for our clinic in Plantation, Florida. You will have the opportunity to take a hands-on approach, addressing patient needs inside the exam room and look beyond to understand how social determinants of health are affecting health outcomes. We are experts in senior-focused primary care with a versatile approach.As a Primary Care Physician, you will report to our Associate Medical Director. This role will be onsite and in-person at our Conviva Pine Island in Plantation FL.As the Primary Care Physician you will focus on outpatient medicine, continuity of care, health maintenance, and disease prevention. You will keep a medical history and medical records. Refer patients to specialists. Influence clinic department's strategy. You will make decisions on moderately complex to complex issues. You will have considerable latitude in determining best approaches to assignments.A day in the life of a Conviva physicianMonday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pmJoin an experienced team with an established patient panelSee 12-15 patients per day. Opportunity to spend more time with patientsLonger authorized appointments (45 minutes)Spend 100% of your time clinically focused on direct patient care, inclusive of patient-facing time and general administrative time as it relates to direct patient careRequired QualificationsDoctor of Medicine or Osteopathic MedicineBoard certified or board eligible in Geriatric Medicine, Family Medicine or Internal MedicineValid, unrestricted license in the state of desired employment (or willing to obtain)Current, unrestricted DEA licensePreferred Qualifications:Minimum of two+ years of experience1+ years of experience managing Medicare Advantage panel of patientsKnowledge of Medicare guidelines and coverage.Knowledge of HEDIS quality indicators.Bilingual Spanish and English a plusThis role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana/Senior Bridge's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40Pay Range: $255,000 - $298,500 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
