Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location

Germantown, TN | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | On-call and weekend availability required as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a med/surg overflow, post-surgical, and observation unit
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:6–7 within a team nursing model
• Collaborate with LPNs and interdisciplinary team members as the unit transitions to a team nursing structure
• Participate in on-call duties and weekend shifts as needed
• Float to like units or campuses within a 20-mile radius as required
• Adhere to all compliance, credentialing, and holiday work requirements per facility policy

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Tennessee or a compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines — no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required
• At least 1 prior completed travel assignment required — first-time travelers will not be considered
• BLS certification required ; all certifications must be current or have a documented renewal plan
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible — local travelers will not be considered
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; RTO submitted after an offer is made will not be honored

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3 or more years of Med/Surg experience preferred
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records
• ADN accepted; BSN not required for this position
