Job Overview FX Corporate Salesperson - Panama We are seeking a commercial and highly analytical Corporate FX Salesperson to join our Markets Team in Panama. As an Corporate FX Salesperson, you will work directly with corporate treasurers, CFOs, and senior decision-makers, helping clients navigate complex currency markets while delivering innovative hedging, liquidity, and digital solutions. The role offers significant exposure to regional clients, cross-functional teams, and sophisticated FX products, providing an excellent platform for accelerated career development. You will have the opportunity to: Partner with some of the most relevant corporate clients in Panama and across the region. Originate and execute strategic FX transactions, including complex hedging solutions and structured products. Drive Citi's digital transformation agenda by promoting electronic execution, automation, and API-enabled treasury solutions. Work alongside experts across Markets, Corporate Banking, Services, Risk, Product, and Trading. Develop deep expertise in FX markets while building trusted relationships with senior corporate executives. Play a tangible role in expanding Citi's market presence and revenue growth across the franchise. Key Responsibilities Grow and Deepen Client Relationships Manage and expand a portfolio of corporate clients, identifying opportunities to increase FX revenues and wallet share. Develop trusted advisor relationships with corporate treasurers, finance teams, and senior executives. Maintain an active client engagement strategy through regular meetings, strategic reviews, and market discussions. Originate New Business Identify and acquire new-to-bank clients, expanding Citi's Corporate FX franchise in Panama. Generate commercial opportunities across FX Spot, Forwards, Options, and other risk management solutions. Partner with banking and product teams to deliver holistic client solutions. Deliver Strategic FX Advisory Analyze client balance sheets, cash flows, and business models to identify FX exposures and opportunities. Structure and execute customized hedging strategies, including M&A-related hedging, project finance transactions, and complex derivative solutions. Translate market developments into actionable ideas that protect client earnings and support business objectives. Lead Digital Transformation Champion Citi's electronic FX platforms and digital capabilities. Help clients modernize treasury operations through automation, APIs, and streamlined execution workflows. Support adoption of scalable digital solutions that improve efficiency and enhance the client experience. Leverage Data and AI Utilize data analytics and AI-enabled tools to identify trends, uncover client opportunities, and create differentiated market insights. Generate proactive ideas based on market developments, corporate activity, and financial analysis. Collaborate Across Citi Work closely with Sales, Trading, Corporate Banking, TTS, Product, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Operations teams. Contribute to a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on client success and responsible growth. What We're Looking For Experience 2-5 years of experience in FX Sales, Markets, Corporate Banking, Treasury, Risk Management, Derivatives, or related financial services roles. Commercial Mindset Demonstrated ability to build relationships, uncover opportunities, and drive business growth. Strong business development and client engagement skills with a proactive, entrepreneurial approach. Analytical and Technical Skills Understanding of FX markets and risk management products, including Spot, Forwards, Options, and Swaps. Ability to analyze financial statements, evaluate currency exposures, and develop tailored client solutions. Strong quantitative and problem-solving capabilities. Digital and Innovation Focus Familiarity with electronic trading platforms, treasury technology, APIs, or digital financial solutions is a plus. Interest in leveraging technology and data-driven insights to improve client outcomes. Communication and Leadership Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills. Ability to engage confidently with senior corporate stakeholders and work effectively across diverse teams. Education & Languages Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline. Fluency in English and Spanish required.
