About the Position

Job Title: RN Medical / Surgical / Telemetry Profession: RN Specialty: Medical / Surgical / Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 AM - 07:15 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS, 8 Hours of Stroke Training Must-Have: Candidates must have at least 2 of the 3 areas of competence: 1. Minimum 2 years ICU experience. 2. Minimum 1 year Med/Surg/Telemetry experience. 3. Minimum 2 years Emergency Department experience, with triage experience required. Charge Nurse experience preferred. Description: This is a float position requiring bedside patient care. Experience with Epic is required. The position involves working every other weekend and every other holiday. The ICU is a 16-bed unit with an average daily census of 81 patients. The patient ratio is 1:2 for ICU and 1:3 for Intermediate Care. The Med/Surg/Telemetry units consist of 32 beds with an average daily census of 17-22 patients. The patient ratio is 1:5 with nursing assistant support, increasing to 1:6 during surgical staffing. The Emergency Department has 23 monitored beds, with an average daily census of 70-100 patients. The patient ratio is 1:4, increasing to 1:5 during surgical staffing, with nursing assistant support. There is dedicated support from an unassigned Charge Nurse. Additional training and experience requirements include BLS, PALS, ACLS, and stroke training.
