Greenstaff Medical US-Travel is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Henderson, Kentucky.

Payrate for 48 hours (travellers):
Weekly Gross $3,300.36 

Weekly Taxable $2,033.36 

Weekly Non- Taxable $1,267.00 

Hourly Taxable Upto 40 $36.31 

Overtime after 40 $72.62

• Position: Medical-Surg (MS) Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM).
• Location: Primary site is Henderson , with floating requirements to Deaconess Newburgh (8 miles away) and Deaconess Midtown (11 miles away).
• Contract Length: 13 weeks, starting on 10/19 (Bi-weekly orientation).
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week (48 hours accepted upon request).
  • Note: Stipends are not guaranteed during orientation week or if the unit closes for a holiday.
• Locals Policy: Strictly no local candidates . Applicants must live outside a 40-mile radius of the facility.

Requirements & Experience

• Licensure/Certs: Active Compact RN License , AHA BLS, and NIHSS must be included at submittal.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of strong Med/Surg experience and at least 1 prior travel assignment .
• Charting: Recent Epic EMR experience is required; a checkoff class is mandatory.
• Attendance: Strict policy; 3 call-ins can result in immediate termination.

Unit & Clinical Environment

• Unit Size & Ratio: 45-bed unit. Night ratios are 1:5–1:7 (Charge Nurse takes a full assignment on nights).
• Patient Population: General Med/Surg including post-op (gallbladder, colectomy, appendectomy, hip/knee replacements, ORIFs), GI bleeds, CHF, COPD, sepsis, UTI, COVID-19, and respiratory illnesses.
• Required Skills: PIV insertion, chest tube/indwelling drain management, CBI, drip management (Heparin, Cardizem), PEGs/NGs, ostomy care, remote telemetry, blood administration, and NIHSS/dysphagia screening.
• Teaching Hospital Duties: May be required to precept nursing students and new hires.
• Scrub Code: Navy blue scrubs only. No visible competing health system or agency logos allowed.
